Masters of the World

Three of the Club's vets were in action at the World Masters Tampere in Finland and all brought home gold medals.

Lisa Thomas achieved her goal of winning the 2000m Steeplechase and then anchored the 4 x 400m GB W55 team to a silver medal, while W65 Anna Garnier won gold in the 1500m as well as silver in the 8K Cross Country. There was gold, too, for W55 Alison Murray in the pole vault.

And all to play for the youngsters in the Lily B League


After the completion of the three-match Lily B League series, the Club's girls' team is lying in fourth place, and so will go on to compete for the League Cup against top of the table Epsom & Ewell, along with Guildford & Godalming and South London Harriers in second and third position, and Kingston & Poly and Croydon Harriers in fifth and sixth. The final is on 27 August at the David Weir Centre, Carshalton.
